I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (Londres, Inglaterra) in Nov 2017
Interview
Employee referral.
Received an email from the recruiter and arranged for a phone call quite quickly.
The phone screen was pretty standard, unfortunately the recruiter demonstrated lack of (basic) technical understanding therefore most of the answers have been kept at a simple level of explanation and technical details.
The recruiter described the area where fb was currently recruiting and asked whether some areas where more interesting to me than others. To which I have indicated my preferences.
I got a mail a few days after informing me that the interview was positive but fb was interested in recruiting people with a different background, more in line with the areas they were recruiting.
I honestly am still wondering if they have ever read my CV prior to getting in touch.
It felt like a waste of time and energy and also getting unnecessarily disappointed considering the rejection.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
Basic and pretty standard questions like "Imagine you wake up and the number of new users on facebook has dramatically decreased compared to the average, what would you do to investigate the issue?"
Everything leading up to the 45 min Product Sense went well. I think I just got a weird interviewer/interviewee dynamic. He jumped around a lot and I felt like I missed my window to really drive the rest of the interview pretty early. I could tell it wasn't going well pretty much all the way through. Execution round went well.
Recruiter was super nice all the way through.

There's been a 10/15% drop in usage of FB groups, how do you fix it
