I applied online. I interviewed at Meta (Menlo Park, CA) in Feb 2025
Interview
A lot of emphasis on SQL preparation and coding it correctly during the interview. Also similar emphasis on having a strong product sense. I was asked two SQL questions in the technical screen followed by a deep dive into a product sense question on a meta product
It was nice four rounds one behavioral one stats one sql one product sense each lasting just under one hour they all were on the same day but was given the choice to split it up
Full Loop virtual on-site with 4 rounds.
The SQL "technical skills" interview is actually the hardest because so many of the interviewers are INCOMPETENT!! There is ZERO consistency among interviewers! Some want explanations after you write code, some before. Some think you are using MySQL or PostGRESQL and do not even realize what database platform is listed in coderpad! Be ready to write the absolute most efficient SQL query and in any database language. Also, if the interviewer shows up a few minutes late, you will NOT likely get the extra time at the end to make up the lost time! They will nitpick you to death and if you miss even 1 comma or have any syntax errors, you will fail.
