I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Meta (Altoona, IA) in Nov 2017
Interview
Prescreen phone interview, with Facebook own recruiter. Pass (week 1)
Status= friended + 1 Like
Second phone interview with facility chief engineer. Pass (week 2)
Status= friended + 2 Likes
Assigned to new Facebook recruiter to move process fwd. (week 3)
Status= friended + 3 Likes
Flown in for On-site interviews with 3 video conferences and 3 face to face.
45 min sessions total of 8 people ( one being the Chief I had prior phone interview with). Questions ranged from previous experience and technical questions about the role to interpersonal challenges with coworkers and how issues were resolved.
Overall they were decent and did not play any gotcha games like stump the chump. (week 4)
Status= friended + 8-10 Likes Guesstimate.. (not sure how they all rated me)
Recruiter said she would get feedback from their interview team and be in touch.
12 days later she called to congratulate me with a tentative job offer. (Week 6)
Status= friended with likes and tentative offer to join the Facebook community.
A week of Q & A email exchanges with recruiter about benefits. (week 7)
Status= friended + 8-10 Likes
A week later recruiter contacts me to say that I need to interview with the sites facility operations manager she gave the final approval. Oddly, her name had never came up through the whole 7 week process.
Phone interview took place about 3 hours later, lasted about half an hour with basically the same questions as before, more situational than technical.
Afterwards I contacted recruiter said I thought it went well and that she seemed like a decent person I would want to work for.
Status= friended + 8-10 Likes (1 More Needed)
Recruiter said she would get feedback and get back to me. (Week 8)
The week goes by and I hear nothing. I reach out to recruiter for any updates as I had found a place to live and wanted an update about the on boarding location and time before I signed a lease.
Recruiter said she would call me to chat at a specified time, time came and went no phone call...Crickets...
Status= Un-friended & I have no likes...
This was the most bizarre end to an interviewing process I have ever experienced. I emailed both recruiters said I felt "unfriended" and thanked them for their time and energy throughout the process.
I have rated this experience a negative because of the un-professional way the whole process unfolded.
One would think that if the facility operations manager would have the final say in the process that she would have been part of the "process" from the get go instead of time and money spent on both parties to be torpedoed in the end.
I am not sure if it was something on my part or a failure in their process that brought about such a bizarre end to what I felt like (at least for 2 months) was beginnings of a positive new endeavor.
Turning Lemons Into Lemonade:
Overall it was a great learning experience and I feel I am better prepared for my next interview challenges.
On a bright note, Apple is building a new facility in the same town and I will be looking forward to discussing with them how my work/life experience would be a great asset for the Apple family.
Good Luck to All

Brush up on humidification, Psychrometric Chart etc. Read all the publicly available info on the facility.
Interpersonal/situational questions were of the generic tell me about a time type, do you like to work alone or in groups, what type of manager do you like to work for.
