I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (New York, NY) in Sep 2024
Interview
The interview process was all great but one thing, a pretty big thing. In my final round (the back to back to back), my first interviewer was 20 min late. I was under the impression that it was a technical difficulty that all candidates experienced so I was like whatever. Nope, it was just me. Not only was she 20 min late, the interview went 20 min long even though the case was done and everything. We just chatted... and I had to ask "hey should we leave?" When I joined my 2nd interview, I was 20 min late, and had to manage an agitated partner (which I did). Other than that, everyone was lovely I guess.
It was a one-to-one interview with a consultant. It's a typical case study. The experience was traumatizing. I know my answers weren't great, the consultant was elegant and didn't bother to hide his boredom.
