I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Macy's (Nyack, NY) in Sep 2015
Interview
It felt a little odd. Looking back at it, it didn't seem like they were quite ready for me or perhaps they were just desperate which they were. I didn't feel like I was ready for the questions but it seemed that I somehow really impressed the person interviewing me. Perhaps butt kissing really does work for interviews.

Question 1
Why do you want to work at Macy's
What would you bring to the Macy's team
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Macy's (Atlanta, GA) in May 2016
Interview
After waiting approximately an hour and thirty minutes (after my scheduled appointment), I was called to the back to begin the interview. The manager seemed friendly. I was asked simple questions and had a long, detailed reply for each one of them. She commented on how professional and detailed my answers were and told me that she would see if they still had any more openings. After 20 minutes of more waiting, I was advised that they didn't :/
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Macy's (San Bernardino, CA) in Dec 2015
Interview
Many of the interview questions didnt pertain directly to the work Id be doing, also I had never experienced specific situations like the interviewer described and Ive had three jobs. I had to do a lot of imagining myself in the situation, thinking what would be the best action and fitting it to the job at Macy's I would be doing. This made me seem less sure of myself by not having an answer right away and being too ambivalent.
Better be ready to sell that bloody highlighter or pen as well (they push credit card sales). The customer has to feel like they have to have that highlighter/pen right now or they're gonna die. Bascially the whole interview is designed so that you need talk smooth and fast.
