Store Manager: Sales driven and customer service driven
Cosmetic line Regional Manager: looks for customer service, sales , coach , work as a team, organization.
They are very nice and friendly. I was nervous but it is very easy to talk to them.
You have to be prepared to give examples of sales successful stories
Also, you should know about sales metrics such as: year to date, items per transaction, dollar per transaction. You also need to wear make up, dress professional and look the overall aesthetic of your person since they see details.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Macy's (Charleston, WV) in May 2015
Interview
A friend referred me to the position. He had worked at this Macy's under a different counter and I applied online. They emailed me within three days and asked me to come in for an interview. I interviewed once with a person that had nothing to do with cosmetics because the person I was supposed to interview with had called off. I was granted another interview with the person I was supposed to interview with first, she liked me and told the brand rep of the counter to interview and call me. This phone interview was terrible. It was harsh and she was very rude to me. Ultimately I received the job.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Macy's (Orlando, FL) in Jul 2012
Interview
Not very good. I never met with anyone from cosmetics and was passed off to multiple managers of other departments (they call this "global hiring"). The position I was applying for had already been filled. If I hadn't been so desperate for a job, I would have declined the offer. I did meet with the assistant store manager to discuss my initial experience.
