I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kroger (Lexington-Fayette, KY) in Mar 2014
Interview
I met with the store manager one-on-one. The interview was actually very casual and laid back, even though I was nervous. I had a bachelors degree at the time but couldn't find a job in my field. But I still gave my resume to the manager to show her I was hard working and motived. It only helped me. I wore what I would consider professional dress (nice skirt and top).

Just go, and you will be hired and tested right there! they might ask few questions and ask you to play a role of developing a sales pinch about a product. They ask for your documents, and you`re hired.

Interview
They asked about my experience and I gave them my resume. She then told me they didn't have any room for a Front End Cashier at that time and would I like to wait in another department until one opened up. I agreed and one week later, I was a Front End Cashier. They did agree to my scheduling needs upon hire, but as soon as the new store's Grand Opening was over, they threatened to fire me if I didn't free up my availability, which is no good considering I had passed up a job making much more for the promise of an extremely flexible schedule with this store. I did my best to free it up but now I am receiving low Evaluation scores on paperwork although I'm receiving compliment and reward after compliment and reward for my so-called 'outstanding' work ethic, personality and integrity. Watch out, is my advice. Because once they don't need you, you'll probably only have a job for a little while.
