Pretty straightforward process: HR screen call, followed by a home assignment, technical discussion and hiring manager interview.
The home task was quite enjoyable and related to their field of work. The technical discussion covered potential improvements on the assignment and a discussion about my technical expertise in general. Hiring manager interview was quite similar, diving into some behavioral questions as well. All the interviewers were friendly throughout the process.
However, there were significant delays during the process, I had to chase the recruiter for about two weeks to get the final interview scheduled. Then came the offer, which was around 50% lower than the salary expectations that I have clearly communicated during the first call. I would have refused to go along with the process if they would have been transparent about their salaries from the beginning. I'm disappointed to say I have wasted 10 hours of my spare time working on the home assignment, and a few more during the interviews.
