I submitted my application including all documents. After one or two weeks I received a call to confirm my interview date, which was within the next seven days. Interview took place with two senior managers (one already announced to be promoted to partner). In the interview KPMG introduced themselves and the financial services department. I received an answer about two weeks later.

Interview
After submitting my CV, there was a virtual interview and they asked a market sizing question + why I wanted to join the specific department. They also asked about stuff in my CV and it was overall pretty manageable, they don't expect you to know much as an intern.
It was an hour long with 2 hiring manager and HR. Whole process was like one round to offer. This spanned around 2 weeks in total from HR reach out to offer letter.
The interview process at KPMG was straightforward but rigorous. I completed an online assessment, followed by a video interview, and then a panel interview with case questions. The team was professional, and the timeline was reasonable, taking about a month from application to offer.
