Interview
A full day at the assessment centre. Relaxed atmosphere, nothing too stressful or intense.
The day consisted of 2 sit down interviews. Concentrating on experiences and skills rather than personal profile. The first is questions regarding you experiences, how you implemented engineering principles, teamwork and problem solving. They ask for examples and results. The second interview is skill based, they ask technical questions about electronics, hydraulics and electropneumatics. Your experiences with these as well as safety measures.
You then move on to 4 multi choice exams. The subjects are electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical.
After the exams its practical assessment.
Mechanical - Re-build a small gearbox from an exploded diagram.
Electrical - Fault find on a system
Electropneumatic- Fault find a system
The whole day was relaxed. When not in interviews or exams they have a conference room where people wait as well as a small kitchen area with drinks and food.
