I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Infosys (Mumbai) in May 2009
Interview
Hiring was done by an external consultant for us at campus recruitment. Stress is more on Analytical thinking and logical reasoning than software skills due to highly specialized training and development centre.
Had an aptitude test with mathematical and logical questions for an hour and an english test for another hour.
This was followed by an interview process of about 15-20 mins with a senior consultant who had working experience with BARC. He asked quick thinking puzzles and asked questions about family and kind of activities I had done before in college and school.

Interview
Following the assessment test, got shortlisted for the interview phase. The session itself was very smooth; the interviewer created a supportive and comfortable environment right from the beginning. The conversation centered around my project, where I had the opportunity to detail its technical aspects, architectural choices, and the underlying motivation for building it.
Multiple rounds including face to face and aptitude depending on the role type and resume and project related questions were asked with focus on technical concepts including data structures and algorithms
The recruitment process started with an online assessment that included aptitude, reasoning, verbal ability, and programming questions. Candidates who cleared the assessment were invited for a technical and HR interview. The interview lasted around 30 minutes and focused on Java fundamentals, projects mentioned in the resume, OOP concepts, certifications, and basic HR questions. The interviewers were friendly and gave sufficient time to answer.
