I applied through college or university. I interviewed at IBM
Interview
It was very systematic and organised:
1) Portfolio and Resume shortlisting
2) Design Challenge
3) Design Challenge Shortlisting
4) Interview Rounds followed by the HR Rounds
5) Job offer by the company and acceptance by the candidate
6) Onboarding to the company
I applied online. I interviewed at IBM (Navi Mumbai)
Interview
The process took a long time. The level of questions were good. I would rate them of medium to high level. There were a total of 3 rounds. However, HRs would higher more people than required and you might end up never hearing back from them even when you have cleared. They took zillion days and at the end said the vacancy is not needed anymore. Very disheartening
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. Design Assignment
2. Design interview by board/panel
3. Round by Senior Director level position
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at IBM in Aug 2024
Interview
It is a first one for me. An automated, pre-recorded video assessment. After applying online, I was sent an email that they would like me to do a Video Assessment where I will be asked behavioral questions. I was asked only 2 questions and, if you are ready, it can take you up to 10 minutes to complete.
The question is read to you by a recorded person. You are given 1 minute to think about the answer and 3 minutes to give the answer.
The questions themselves are not too difficult if you have a prepared answer. If you don't then you are screwed because the clock is ticking and the pressure of coming up with an answer is building.
I did not do well on the second question so expectations were low.
I did not like the experience, the pressure of talking to yourself without another person present is off-putting.
I have not heard back about my application which I found a bit rude. They can automate an interview but cannot automate a reply to tell you you've not been selected.
