I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at IBM (Richmond, VA) in Jan 2011
Interview
A few phone screens followed by an in person round robin style interview session. Speak with 3-4 resources in person. It was great as everyone I spoke with was at the level I was hiring into or above and working in the same area of business. They really want to see how well you will fit into the culture and can ensure they are placing you at the right level. This is best for everyone.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at IBM (Melbourne) in Aug 2011
Interview
2 x Phone interviews, intereview with direct manager and another interview with a regional manager.
It was clear that the direct report had no idea about the technology itself, it was merely hiring due to management pressure.
