The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hitachi Vantara (Los Angeles, CA) in Jul 2009
Interview
Was referred in by an industry contact.
Unfortunately, Hitachi has made a few waves of layoffs recently.
They are looking to staff consultants with extremely technical skills.
This does not mean they are on a pure hiring freeze, but look elsewhere if you are more aligned towards functional or process related projects.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Walk me through an implementation project from beginning to end.
Pretty basic process.
They just did a couple of questions along 3 interviews.
One with a talent recruiter.
Another more technical.
A last one that was behavioral.
The process took around 1 week.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hitachi Vantara (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2023
Interview
The case study was challenging but fair. Lots of good questions but straightforward. Good rapport with everyone in the room which was nice to see compared to others. I would recommend.
A Phone screening by the recruiter followed by three to five video interviews with prospective bosses and teammates. The level of seniority in interviewers progressed as the interviews went on. Finally, I had a call with the recruiter telling me the results. The team enjoyed, but the company recently went on a hiring freeze.
