I applied in-person. I interviewed at Hearst (New York, NY) in Aug 2015
Interview
3 round onsite interview, each round takes 45 min, first round: general OOP questions, how to debug in certain situations, second round: whiteboard coding, last round: system design
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hearst in Oct 2007
Interview
Had phone interview with recruiter and above average difficulty online skills test. Then went in for in person interview--pretty easy on paper test with standard questions from HTML tags to interface vs. abstract class questions. Interviewed with people who I later found out weren't quite A players. Consultants were running the game.
