Interview
Phone interview with hr and then call with hiring manager. I had a call with the hr manager and she set up a call with the hiring manager. I had prepared for the call by writing detailed answers with examples for each bullet point listed in the job description so that I would answer the questions well focusing on what they were looking for. The hiring manager called me 10 minutes after the scheduled time and I thought the call was going well but she abruptly asked me if I was interested in partnership and I said yes and she said well this isn't a partnership job this is an audience job and I said well I have audience experience and she said no this is very different and I will tell the hiring manager to keep you in mind for other positions at Hearst and abruptly got off the phone. I followed up with the hr manager and never heard anything back. Needless to say I am not thrilled. It is very difficult to get a chance to speak to someone at any company these days so when things go this far left in an interview it is distressing to say the least. How else should a person prep for a call like this? It almost seems like they had a quota and needed to speak to one more minority before they hired whichever candidate they already had in mind.

Interview
The interview was with the two intern managers for the department. There were very nice, welcoming, and made me feel comfortable. The interview took place on the department's floor in a conference room. About a week after the interview I was offered one of the intern positions.

Interview
Multiple interviews may be required. HR doesn't try to sell on the company by explaining all the benefits. Best way is in to find someone you know who works there
