I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Halliburton (El Cairo, ) in Sep 2013
Interview
Exam was not that easy, included technical knowledge and IQ.
After passing, I went through HR and Technical interview, were not complicated at all.
After passing those I went for a 10 day assessment on site, was very interesting but stressful, had to do several presentations for readings that they gave me, and had minimum sleep to be able to complete all that was required from me daily.
All in all, a very competitive process, but doable.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Halliburton (Oklahoma City, OK) in May 2011
Interview
One phone interview. we just talked about the job and my experiences, they wanted to see if I was willing to work a pretty hard/awkward schedule, then the onsite interview was with 5 or 6 other potential candidates. It was pretty informal, we took a trip to the wireline shop and we were asked technical questions in the car. Overall, it wasn't very high pressure.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Halliburton (Denver, CO) in Jul 2014
Interview
Consisted of initial phone interview then a group interview in Denver, CO where you learned about the industry and the job while also going to a wellsite. Took some time, around 3 months between initial phone interview and offer date. Basically if you are semi-confident and willing to work very long days you will get the job.
