Interview
A recruiter noticed my profile on LinkedIn and thought I would be a great fit.
The whole process is ENORMOUS. 4 interviews.... 4!!! Are you kidding me? I have not been in a longer process in my life, and technically I still am because I eventually got ignored. I passed 2 of the 4 interviews and got invited to the 3rd stage. 2 interviews in and I had NO CLUE on the actual remuneration that matters: SALARY. People need SALARY, not free fruit, not a nice fancy gym, not a great big office, not a super crazy medical insurance that actually covers basic illness, not a transport card, not a restaurant card.... SALARY, to live, to pay rent, to save up, to invest.
So, excuse me for asking a basic question on a candidate selection process once the company showed interest in moving forward with me... can I please have at least an indication on what the salary to expect is?
The reply - ...... radio silence ......
My last email was a few weeks ago, still no reply after 3 emails asking if I could please have this information so I can evaluate if this opportunity is interesting for me (remind you I am EMPLOYED) because if the offer is lower than what I am currently getting at my company, no free fruit of fancy gym will make me change jobs, especially when I work remote and they wanted me to come into the office (prehistoric work condition for a TECH COMPANY)
All in all, disappointing. Disappointing that such a leader in its industry has this deplorable hiring process and won't be open about disclosing salary ranges - the BASIC remuneration and quite frankly what really matters at the end of the day. We live in a CAPITALIST society, I don't work for the pure pleasure of working, I work to earn a living.
