I reached the final stage of the Glovo hiring process, which involved completing a case study and presenting my recommendations. I spent many hours working hard on the case study and was asked to present it the next day in English. Despite my preparation, I found the presentation extremely difficult. I was frequently interrupted with unrelated questions in Spanish, forcing me to switch between two languages and focus on topics outside the scope of my presentation.
Additionally, I felt that the interviewers were trying to "catch me out." Whenever I answered a question correctly, I was immediately given another, more challenging one. While I applied for a Branding/Advertising position, I was unexpectedly asked to calculate metrics like "cash flow" and "return on equity" on the spot, which left me feeling unprepared and uncomfortable.
After putting in so much effort, I left the presentation feeling upset, uncomfortable, and anxious. This was one of the most challenging and disheartening experiences I’ve encountered, and I strongly believe students—especially those who have yet to graduate—should not be treated this way during hiring processes.
