I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Globant in Dec 2024
Interview
I had a disappointing interview experience with Globant. They initially reached out urgently for an important project requiring UI/UX designers immediately, which led me to expect a smooth and transparent process. I was told I’d receive a response within 3-4 days, but instead, I waited 19 days without any updates. While I understand the delay may have been due to the holiday period, a simple follow-up would have been appreciated. There was also confusion between the UI and UX interview processes, which felt unprofessional.
Most importantly, I requested detailed feedback after the rejection, not to contest their decision but to understand areas for improvement. Initially, the response was vague, but after pushing for transparency, they provided a more detailed assessment. However, it felt generic, as if copied from the job description rather than truly reflecting my work. Their feedback mentioned a lack of mobile/responsive design, insufficient depth in UX principles, absence of wireframes or prototypes, and an overreliance on existing UI kits—all points that did not align with the actual work I presented.
What made this even more frustrating is that I hold multiple UI/UX certifications that validate my expertise, certifications that most designers in the market don’t even have. On top of that, if they had actually reviewed my other projects, they would have seen clear examples of the wireframes and prototypes they claimed were missing. It was absurd to receive such feedback when the very things they criticized were present in my portfolio, had they taken the time to look.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Globant in Feb 2024
Interview
I interviewed with Globant in February for a User Experience Designer position. The recruiter who called me didn't know much about the position and often asked me about things related to another position that I was not applying for. I didn't hear anything afterwards.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Globant (Pune) in Jun 2014
Interview
The interview process involves two stages. The first is where you get a design exercise, which is evaluated by the team after which you get a call to meet them face to face. The second stage is where you present your portfolio, talk about the design exercise and meet one-on-one with the Design managers and Design head.
There is also an HR round for finalising things if you get through.
