I applied online. I interviewed at FileCloud in Feb 2026
Interview
The initial stage of the interview process was a very positive experience. The discussion was transparent, professional, and my questions were answered clearly and calmly. I would rate this stage very highly.
The technical interview, however, was significantly different.
I was asked about technologies that were not mentioned either in my CV or in the job description – Docker.
• While I was solving the exercise, I was asked what phone I have and which model it is, even though nothing like that was mentioned in the job description.
• The interviewer put a lot of pressure on me to finish quickly – 1 minute.
• The exercise statement was unclear, and when I asked questions, the interviewer was visibly annoyed.
• I was asked to share my screen on all monitors, even though the email said it would be a technical discussion, and my desktop contained personal files.
• The test had no connection to automation.
However, I strongly encourage candidates to read job descriptions carefully, ask clarifying questions early, and ensure expectations are fully aligned from the beginning.
Cheers!
