After sending in my CV and cover letter I was short listed to come to a graduate assessment centre the following week, the assessment centre is very casual and is done by the head of graduates at ferrovial, the head of HR and a recent graduate employee.
The day is split into two sections, the first comprises of an hour long presentation telling you exactly what ferrovial does and where it is at financially, then you are given a challenge to assess team working and problem solving, with two challenges. Then you are shuffled in your groups and given a discussion topic to be completed in your new group and then asked to casually present your ideas to the other people at the assessment. Then you have a lunch break while they decide who they will keep on or send home. Ferrovial is very open and up front with this, and tell you whether or not you made the cut or not. If you were chosen to stay you will be asked which project you are interested in and will then be interviewed one to one with an employee from that project.
