I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at FedEx (Hutchins, TX) in Jul 2012
Interview
The interview process was good the HR employees were nice and treated people with respect. First they'll walk you around the facility so you could see what the job was like, once you did that, they ask if you were sure you wanted to apply for the job if not you were free to go if yes, then you'd just apply.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Are you willing to work in the warehouse exposed to the weather conditions, meaning when is hot outside it will be inside and the same for cold weather.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at FedEx (Burbank, IL) in Jun 2015
Interview
It was pretty cut and dry, very straight forward and brief. The entire phone interview lasted about 2-3 minutes.
I first went to an observation. After the observation we received an emailed link for the actual application. Then I waited for this phone interview. After the phone call he informed me that I would get an email saying I had to fill out a background check form. If I passed I would move on to orientation, which is paid.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked things like:
-Do you have any work experience.
-Are you capable of carrying 400 boxes per hour.
-Are you available to work any shift (Because I had stated that I was in the application)
-Are you flexible with shifts.
There might have been another one.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at FedEx (Mahtomedi, MN) in May 2012
Interview
Sign up online for an Observation Sort, during which you'll go and take a tour of the Facility. Next, with your tour group, you all fill out applications and get a little bit of an overview. Within a week, you're called for the interview, and that's pretty straightforward. The new standard will include behavioral based questions, so just be yourself.
