Quite possibly the least professional process I've ever dealt with.
About 4 hours after I'd applied, I received a call from a recruiter who'd prompted me to do a phone interview. I was open to it, it was my day off, why not. It goes very well, and they inform me that they'll pass the information on to the next level interviewer I applied to so that person can reach out to set up the next interview.
I didn't receive anything after that, but the next morning, at just past 11AM, I receive a call from the second interviewer asking if the interview time wasn't good for me. I was confused as to what interview time. They informed me that they emailed me, apparently the night before, with a link for a video interview that morning at 11AM.
I was furious. There had been no contact asking about or confirming the time - and the time they had automatically picked was not a good one for me. I politely let them know I was unaware of the time and never agreed to a time but was open to interviewing. The interviewer asked me when I could be available; I stated the following day and a time frame and they said they'd reach out with confirmation.
The next day and that time come and go. A few hours after the time frame - and now I'm stalking my email for something - I receive an automated email saying the position is closed. I even try to apply for other positions in the area, and they get auto-closed I suppose because FedEx's system is designed to close out candidates who've recently been turned down.
I've never been more livid. So unprofessional. At least I'm glad I don't have to work with that kind of person.
