I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Fastenal (Toronto, ON) in Apr 2015
Interview
Two interviews in total, one on the phone and one in person. The phone interview was very easy, the human resource department ask you very basic questions to see if you are suitable to move on to the next stage. Once they confirm you are okay to move on, you will then meet with the DM and GM of the branch you applied to. They will have a list of pre-written questions, usually generated from the computer and they are just standard questions.

Question 1
How would you handle a situation where the customer is already unsatisfied with Fastenal?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fastenal (Saint Louis, MO) in Nov 2016
Interview
I applied online through a recommendation in the company. Got a call for an HR screening soon after, and then an in person interview with the GM. It was fairly laid back and relaxed. He mostly wanted to see if I had motivation and would be a good fit for the position. They are also looking for candidates who are interested in moving up and progressing with the company long term.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Fastenal (St. John's, NL) in Mar 2016
Interview
Found the job post through university job board.
The process was
1. resume submit - > 2. phone interview (Why applied for the position?, available for relocation?)
After submitting a resume, the HR person from the company called I believe in 2 days or so.
It seems they are more interested in filling positions in remote area.
