I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at EY (Auckland, ) in Apr 2011
Interview
Friendly and fun. You MUST know something about auditing for this to work. Do not go to an interview hoping to learn about auditing. Look at what clients they audit and mention them - something in the news about them, anything that's relevant and financial.
They do an interview, a quick Psych test (pre-done on the internet), an office tour and some group activities. It's harmless and fun. Nice people. BE PREPARED. Don't pig out at the lunch - be cool.

I asked these - they liked them - "what do you like most about auditing at EY?" and "what's your favourite client, and why?"
excellent and very engaging with the interviewer as I can understand a lot how the firm treats its employees and provides opportunities for intern to explore areas that are most interested for the individuals
