The process took 3 days. I interviewed at EY in Nov 2011
Interview
I had a phone screen interview with the recruiter for the position. He was supposed to call me directly and ended up contacting me 25 minutes later than the scheduled time. He apologized though. The phone interview was pretty short. It appeared that I talked the majority of the time asking questions to get a better idea of what would be expected in the position. I was familar with some of the responsibilities, however they seems really broad and thrown together. The recruiter couldn't clearly answer any of those questions either. He said that the manager for the position would be better suited to answer my questions. We also discussed salary, however that's also still up in the air. I asked for the range for the position but didn't get a clear answer. It's always a tug-of-war for that question.
I applied online. I interviewed at EY (Bangalore Rural)
Interview
Questions on modelling experience
Testing for linear and logistic regression
Time series components.
Generic questions on profile.
Short interview for 30 mins
Not selected for second round.
Need modelling development or validation knowledge
Two steps, starting with a written test, continuing to a case presentation interview. The interview mainly discussed the case, followed by questions closer to a behavioral interview. The interview required quick thinking and insight gathering due to short time allowed for case preparation.
The process was relatively straightforward and moved quickly (total time was less than 2 weeks). It consisted of:
(1) Online application - submitting CV, cover letter etc. via the career portal
(2) Online assessment - takes about 1 hour, some quantitative questions, questions about behaviours etc.
(3) Phone call with recruiter
(4) In-person interview - less "formal", more conversational
