I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Discover (New York, NY) in Jan 2014
Interview
Average interview process. There were two interviewers in the room. Both were very relaxed, and seemed to be really engaged with my answers and my experience. One guy was really young, the woman was middle aged.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Discover (Riverwoods, IL) in Oct 2014
Interview
Good pre-interview with HR. Overly complicated process with hiring managers, multiple discussions with the same people and a pointless meeting with the company President. Should have seen red flags based on interviews -- overly cautious process and clear "upselling" of the job, promoting the positive parts of the position while hiding the far more annoying parts. Didn't feel like I was hired for the job that was advertised.
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Discover (Phoenix, AZ) in Aug 2012
Interview
You apply and then you get sent a assessment that includes listening to calls and behavioral questions. You then get a e-mail saying if you get to move forward with the process or not. I had a wonderful experience with the recruiter she e-mailed me to set up a in person. After that I then interviewed with the hiring manager and got offered the job on the spot. They also make you take a drug test that same day in the nurse office.
