The hiring process at Databricks takes an average of 60 days when considering 2 user submitted interviews across all job titles. Candidates applying for Big Data Architect had the quickest hiring process (on average 60 days), whereas Big Data Architect roles had the slowest hiring process (on average 60 days).
Fairly standard approach. Phone screen with recruiter, then video call with hiring manager. Both I thought went well. During the discussion with hiring manager, they confirmed an interest for an additional meeting. I sent in a standard thank you, and over the next three weeks I checked back to lock down that next meeting. Got no response back and was ghosted. Seems the standard these days, and disappointing as the team could have at least sent a simple email on my candidacy.
Q: Can you tell me a time when you needed to convince senior leadership to a direction. What steps did you take. What level of information did you provide. What was the outcome?
I applied online. I interviewed at Databricks (Ámsterdam) in Aug 2023
Interview
Got an email to do some basic and hardest test on a website. I think there are 4 steps to get hired. The problem was about creating a stack with some constraints, the other one was bishop problem that had to be solved with bfs/dfs .
They sent a link to codingal, which basically contained leetcode-type questions. But i didn't pass it unfortunately, so i'm not aware of next steps. It's important to note that only recent grads or students are considered for intern positions in databricks.
