Question 1
1. Can you explain Databricks in a lay man's words :)
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Databricks (Ámsterdam) in Feb 2021
Interview
The procedure starts with an online challenge. You get the feeling that there is something wrong with this place since this step. The challenge require you to open your camera and remove your headphone as if you could cheat on this one and still succeed on the rest!
Afterwards comes an interview with the HR. She didn't even open her camera and was late to the meeting.
First question: When will you graduate and I replied that it could be 2022 or 2023 and she was like oh we are sorry but we are only interested in candidates who will certainly graduate this year. Like what difference does it make when will I exactly graduate? I'm applying for an internship and she didn't want to continue with the process since I'm not graduating in 2022.
Bottom-line, was of time. Make your advertisement more clear and ask about the graduation date before you waste my 2hours on a challenge.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Databricks
Interview
Vague, messy, and the Director was unprepared. If you cannot trust sales management, how can you join? Too bad the rest of the business functions seem sound but the sales team has a bad reputation already ,and the large clients know it and see it.
