The hiring process at Databricks takes an average of 60 days when considering 2 user submitted interviews across all job titles. Candidates applying for Big Data Architect had the quickest hiring process (on average 60 days), whereas Big Data Architect roles had the slowest hiring process (on average 60 days).
Process does not align 100% with the job tasks. Too technical for a position focus on sales and customer facing. Overall process is clear and guidance is give all the time.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Databricks (San Francisco, CA) in May 2022
Interview
Time consuming. Never would reveal salary band even when directly asked. They changed the job title and description a month into the process.
5 individual interviews at 5 hours total. Hour long presentation to panel. Months of waiting. Weeks between useless communication.
1 star. Would not recommend. Don’t waste your time. They are not that amazing. I’d categorize them the new AWS, so if that’s your vibe then maybe give it a go.

I applied in-person. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Databricks
Interview
sehr angenehmes Vorstellungsgespräch, nettes Team inklusive Management.
