Pretty smooth and fair. Brush up on the skills before, you will be asked. Different stages and difficulty changes. React is a must know, also basics of C++ for backend.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Databricks in Apr 2023
Interview
The interview process took about 3 -4 weeks. Accounting for a tech assessment and an loop interview. The final interview was with a senior director. You will be interacting with a few recruiters at Databricks. I had a pleasant experience with the first recruiter but after my tech assessment my second recruiter was not great. I had to follow up multiple times about updates on following rounds and even when I got to the last round of interviews, my interviewer never showed up. I waited 30 minutes and reached out to the recruiter who didn't respond for 4 hours. Finally when the call was rescheduled and after the interview the recruiter told me I would get updates by a specific day. 2 weeks go by with no response and finally I reach out to ask for a final update being told I didn't get the offer. Overall meeting the team was great but just the recruitment process was frustrating.
Pretty horrible and unprofessional recruiters. Contacted me and spoke to me initially then wanted to move me to the next steps. Then next day sent me a thank you email. Recruiter suddenly ghosted me… ignored my emails completely. I heard this happens often with Databricks. Would never recommend this company.
