I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Databricks in May 2025
Interview
This was with their "Communications, Media & Entertainment" group. Fairly standard intro interview with a hiring manager. The question listed below tripped me up - I knew that the role would be customer-facing, but I didn't realize how project management heavy it would be.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe your personal framework for tackling projects from start to finish (IE planning, personnel procurement, project breakdown, levels of effort, handling deliverables, etc.)
It was a very fun and good process, your time is valued and you are treated very well.
Would highly recommend that anyone who wants to do so to go for this position.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Databricks (Londres, Inglaterra) in Oct 2025
Interview
A structured hiring process. Multiple rounds that included recruiter screening interview, hiring manager interview, coding assignment, technical interview, stakeholder interview, panel presentation and finally a senior executive interview. Took around 6 weeks from the time of application to complete all the rounds.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
As the role was more customer facing, they wanted to assess the stakeholder management capabilities more than the technical capabilities.
recruiter, hm, tech, presentation, director and vp rounds.
The recruiter ghosted after the tech round, although the tech round went really good. Simple questions, basic databricks skills, apache spark required but not mentioned in the job desc
