I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Cummins (Columbus, IN) in Oct 2020
Interview
Interview process was extremely long. Initially talked to them at a career fair in September. Then I didn’t hear back until mid-October for the first round of interviews which by that point I thought I had bombed it. Yet, I got a second interview the first week of November which went good again. By late November I still hadn’t heard back from them and I was interviewing with another company which made me an offer. They asked if they could have a couple of weeks to get back to me and potentially make me an offer. The HR department contacted me, one of the previous interviewers contacted me, and it was looking like a very promising outlook to get an offer. Finally, it wasn’t until mid-December that they finally said they didn’t need a chemical engineer. Nothing wrong with that though I felt like there was some serious miscommunication along the chain.

Interview
I highly enjoyed the interview process with Cummins. Quick to respond to emails and very professional. Three round interview : one with engineering recruiter at job fair, second with recruiter, third with hiring manager. Mostly behavioral questions maybe one or two technical questions. I was nervous at first how my interaction went with the hiring manager but never doubt yourself if you think you didn’t do as good. Good feed back to my interview responses.
