After passing the first two rounds of the interviews and was scheduled for the 3rd interview a week later.
At the time of my 3rd interview, they told be they couldn’t continue the interview process because of a global hiring freeze. I was hoping that they could at least reach out before the interview instead of telling me this at the time of the interview which I took the day off for.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Crypto.com
Interview
Questions are simple. Mostly asking about your experiences or definition of buzz words.
Some questions are vague and you may need to try several times to find out what does interviewer want.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Crypto.com in Feb 2022
Interview
Overall nice interview process. But a bit lengthy. Took a few weeks to go through the whole process.
- The first stage was a call with HR to get to know each other
- The second call was a cultural interview with sprinkles of some very basic technical questions (with 2 engineers).
- Take-home small project assessment, recommended time to complete about 4 hours, but there was plenty of time to do it.
- The third stage, was a technical discussion on the assessment and pair-programming where you were supposed to make some changes to the project to see how you work and additional technical questions to get a better understanding of your experience
- The last stage was a feedback call to ask about your experience during the interview process and enumerate the benefits of working at crypto.com (no base salary was mentioned).
After being asked about my rate in the first stage and in the last stage, the recruiter said they can't offer my rate, as they currently only offer location-based pay (which was still lower than the average of my location for this kind of position).
Very disappointing for a company such as Crypto.com to come up with such an excuse.
For me, the whole process was a waste of time as I would have preferred they said from the beginning that they can't offer my rate, not make me spend time and resources for days/weeks during the whole interview process only to tell me at the end that they can't offer me my asking rate.
