I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Crypto.com (Hong Kong) in Aug 2020
Interview
Running a smooth interview process isn't easy, but Crypto.com has done it perfectly. Nice & friendly interviewers, an interesting enough take-home task, and a capable recruiter.
There are 3 rounds of interviews. Instead of an interviewer & interviewee relation, we discuss topics and share our thoughts through out the process. They were all comfortable & meaningful discussions.
Unlike giving you some boring LeetCode tests, they gave you a 2-week (definitely didn't took that much time to finish) open answer take-home task which you could fulfill freely in your own way. I found a sense of achievement & enjoyment from it.
The recruiter was also doing a great job in every way, giving me solid answers, being responsive, following up my issues & providing me feedbacks within hours. Probably the best recruiter I've ever had.
And I finally got the offer in a week after the final interview.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Crypto.com (Adelaida) in Apr 2022
Interview
- Recruiter phone interview was delayed for more than 3 hours with no pre-alert.
- include one code-test required to be finished with 2 weeks.
- first-round interview includes 3 engineer from Crypto.com using Google Hangout. It will make you feel disrespected since they won't open the camera and you need to open it.
- in first-round interview, the interviewer seems not to have prepared well and ask some questions in a free-style way.
- in first-round interview, the interviewer will ask you some personal question. for example, how did you get the offer from your master degree, what's the process?
- Recruiter disappears after the first-round interview, no rejection, no offer, and no feedback.
- I was guessing why this interview of a such a big company is quite embarrassing, unprofessional and ridiculous.
