Cognizant Programmer Analyst Trainee interview questions

I am a cse student . I was called through AMCAT and I had my interview on 19th of January 2014in LPU Punjab though I belong to delhi. After submitting my profile . I was called after 1 hour .There was around 40 panel taking interview . TECHNICAL INTERVIEW There was a lovely south indian lady with a beautiful smile She – why u choose cse Me – because I am good in logic(she was very impressed) She – why u don’t have sir name in certificate Me – told She – write swapping program Me – write She - write program for series 1,2 ,6,15 Me – write She – give sorting program Me – dint She – tell me what is garbage collection Me – told She – hash sorting Me – dint She – tell me about computer architecture Me – told She – about microprocessor Me – its not my subject I told Then she told me to go .After 15 min I was called and given green card for the HR interview because I was selected. Plz if u don’t know the answer told them directly After 1 hour my name was called for HR interview HR INTERVIEW It was around 1:30 pm She – sit how r u Me – I am fine She – only fine, u have break fast Me – no because we need to report early She- brief yourself Me – told She – ok choose topic and say on it for 1 minute Me – I took “friendship ” and did for 20 second She – I said 1 minute .ok take other topic and I am giving u 2 minute to think on it Me – I took “religion” I told for 50 to 55 sec She –why cognizant not Infosys Me – told She – tell me about cognizant Me – told She – r u ok for relocation Me – yes (plz say yes for relocation and night shift) She – do u know other technology Me – I am good learner I can take classes for .NET and php She – do u have any question? Me – no mam(plz be prepared to ask a question) Then on 24 jan 2014 I got selected for the cognizant Plz be confident and don’t loose hope if u give wrong answer be confident U have 99% chance for the job if u clear the technical round
