The interview process was very easy and straightforward. Questions were typical for a sales position. Quick phone call first then was asked to come to the store for an in-person interview with the store manager.
I applied online. I interviewed at Coach (Sídney) in Sep 2019
Interview
I was given the chance to attend a group interview. We were given an introduction from the Store Managers present at the group interview about who they were and their position in the company and then proceeded with an icebreaker activity. We broke off into groups and completed a not-so-typical quiz that tested our communication and negotiation skills. After given 10-20 minutes to discuss, we joined together again to explain our answers in-depth to the rest of the group and SM. There was only three SM there to interview us all. We had to chat amongst ourselves until we get called up for a one-on-one with the available Store Manager.
Overall I felt like the interview was not planned out well at all. We were emailed the name of the room at a suburb but no specific address was given, so many interviewees like myself struggled to find the interview location. No information about the interview was given and the Store Manager never answered emails in regards to inquiries about the interview itself. The interview ran 10-15 minutes late, despite the Store Manager stressing to be there on time. We were running behind on schedule and it was getting late. For some, the whole interview process went well past 2 hours when we were told previously it was 1 hour. The Store Managers had to rush through the one-on-one interview amongst all 15 of us. At the end of the interview we exchanged thanks and goodbyes but the SM never declared when she would get back to us on whether we were successful or not.
It has been one week since the interview so I am assuming I did not get the position.

Question 1
What are the required skills for anyone to be successful in this role?
It was a very pleasant experience. I was immediately put at ease as it took place in a casual venue and there was only one interviewer. I was asked several questions, some of which included personal, to determine how my personality would fit in the whole scheme of the Coach experience. At all times I felt that it was a very positive experience.
