screening and then a few interview case rounds. three in total. one product interview. nothing too crazy. just prep case questions on youtube etc. look through the materials they provide
I applied online. I interviewed at Capital One (McLean, VA) in Apr 2024
Interview
The interview process consisted of an initial recruiter screening call followed by one technical and one business-focused interview. Questions covered prior experience, problem-solving approach, stakeholder communication, and data analysis scenarios. Overall, the process was structured, conversational, and focused on understanding real-world experience rather than brainteasers.

Question 1
They focused on how I would approach an ambiguous business problem, structure the analysis, validate data assumptions, and communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Made it till Power day and the business cases were like the mini case but more difficult quant wise. Lots of equations and break even calculations in banking or marketing context.
They also care a lot about knowing your process of thinking so you need to be structured while explaining your metrics and calculations.
