Most of the interview time was spent going over a case. They provided useful resources prior to the interview but the case was different from the example. Make sure you explain to them how you get to an answer and don't be afraid to ask questions. Wasn't too math intensive and it was pretty straightforward. For me, it came down to getting stuck on one of the problems and over thinking too much.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Capital One
Interview
1st round interview: Met the recruiters at career fair on campus. Had to apply on the capital one website and the career center website. Took a pre-interview math/reading based assesment. Interview was mostly behavioral (tell me about a time when..)
2nd Round: Flew to Richmond for the interview (paid for by the company). 1 behavioral, 1 case interview...just be calm and interact with your interviewers

Question 1
Tell about a time when you had to persaude someone.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One in Oct 2012
Interview
Initially I applied and did a case interview on campus. I then heard I had passed this interview and would need to take an online assessment. Make sure you move very quickly through the assessment. Move on if you get stuck, as you do not have a lot of time. After passing the assessment I was invited to Richmond for the final round interviews. We had finger food and drinks at the hotel the night before and got to meet current analysts. The next day consisted of two case interviews, a behavioral interview, lunch, and a tour of the campus. I was notified within 3 business days the result of my interview. Be sure to practice basic break even problems. The math is very easy, but make sure you do not get flustered. Ask plenty of questions. The cases were significantly longer and more difficult than the case provided on their web site or during the campus interview. Try to practice interviewing as much as possible before applying. The recruiter was very nice, and despite not getting an offer, it was a very positive experience.
