It was a lean and simple process. All along a HR consultant supported me in maintaining me up to date on the status of my application. In a matter of a week, I was offered the position. I was able to negotiate my salary.

Question 1
example of a conflict with your manager and how you resolved it
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CIBC (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2009
Interview
This was an internal interview. Initial interview was over the phone with a Human Resources employee asking generic management type questions. Interview was setup well in advance giving ample time to prepare; questions were as expected for a junior management position (behavioural etc.). Having sit on the other side of the table, I advise all to really prepare and ask others who have been in the position previously; ask them to go through a mock interview with you so you can focus on improving weak spots.
