The first interview is over the phone. It is very extensive and the recruiter asked for a lot of questions. The interviewer is very friendly but the whole interview took over 35 minutes. The second interview is a face-to-face interview with the hr manager. good experience but a bit tedious.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The recruiter asked for specific questions about previous work experience, why do you leave, typical scenario questions etc.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at CIBC (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2015
Interview
Interview was quick. Manager was smart enough to see value in me. I was given an excellent feedback and given an offer with a day or two. There were not many technical questions; just some basic questions about my experience. I sold myself as being relevant for the position as I had worked in banking before.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CIBC (Cambridge, ON) in Dec 2015
Interview
No better company to interview with in my opinion. Initially I didn't get the position I was recently offered and the Branch Manager I interviewed with really became an advocate for me and spoke to HR on my behalf to try and find me another position with CIBC because she thought that it would be a great fit for me and the company. I have never experienced anything like that before it was truly such a good experience. I was then offered positions at both the first branch and the second that I interviewed with at the end of December.
