Interview
I was first emailed to confirm I applied for the positions where the conditions of the position were listed. I was then called in for an in-person interview where I ended up having two in total. The first interview was with two middle management individuals. The second was with more senior management.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CIBC (Toronto, ON) in Apr 2018
Interview
Overall experience was smooth. The only delay was in getting the resume picked up, it took them almost 3 weeks which is standard in Canadian companies I guess. The interviewer scheduled a phone call for the next day with fairly standard questions about my past work experience and how I am fit for the role they had. The second round was scheduled 2 days after that which included a data case presentation on the public sector salary disclosure records followed by few behavioral questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Data case presentation:
What was the biggest challenge you faced with the data?
What's my biggest takeaway from the data?
Behavioral:
Tell me about a time where you had to deal with a tough situation with a colleague.
How do you handle stress?
What strategies did you choose when you had to explain technical stuff to non-technical audience?

Interview
It was a pretty standard interview . Mostly behavioural questions, nothing that was too surprising. There were about 10-15 questions and the interview was about 20 minutes long. It was a positive experience.
