CIBC interview questions

The interview lasted 2 questions, the first one was about the work authorization, CIBC doesn't grant sponsorship, the second one was the compensation expectation, apparently I was hitting the ball off the park because I asked for 110k and the offer was for 70-80k. After this the recruiter simply cut off any other question and let me know I will be kept in mind for further opportunities. It is surprising that a position requiring 7-10 work experience pay such low amount.
