I applied through college or university. I interviewed at CIBC
Interview
Phone interview. Asked a bunch of questions. Pitched my skills and experience. In-person interview was casual. Some teams conduct vigorous interviews but generally their interview process is simple enough. Received the offer by email.
I applied online. I interviewed at CIBC (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2026
Interview
This is a co-op role. I had the 15-min HR interview. It actually only took 10 mins, bascally asking some questions about the resume and BQs. No self-introdcution. The HR seemed very tired, and I felt like she was interviewing for the whole day.

Interview
Did a coding assessment, passed it, recruiter said they'll send me an interview request. One week later and still didn't get an interview request, so I email them. They ended sending me an interview for another senior role. I was laid off at the time, and the recruiter kept mentioning they are only looking for people who won't leave.
