ByteDance interview questions

Went through 5 rounds of interviews. The questions asked are a mix of experience, situational and behavioural questions. STAR method works well. What I didn't like was they asked for my payslips before an offer which is very odd and invasive. Especially when it is no longer a requirement to give an offer. I provided them based on trust and thinking an offer might be coming. And to my disappointment, it didn't come in the end. I doubt the role was ever real when I think about it as all their various roles have the same pay range across. Probably wasting candidates' time to fulfil their objectives.

Contacted by recruiter who will walk you through the process. 1st + 2nd round would be a video interview with the engineers to access your abilities. Leetcode + Technical interviews involved. 3rd round with the team lead. 4th round with the HR if you are offered.
