I am surprised to learn that the interview is in Chinese, and it ended after 3 mins because I am not business fluent in the language. Whether in communication with the recruiter or reading about the job post, there is no sign of language requirement for this role. The ability to speak and write Chinese fluently at work will be the requirement as long as you work or need to communicate with the China team.
According to the official site, one of Bytedance's cultures is "Champion Diversity & Inclusion". I am really not sure how true is this.
Very bad experience for the interview last year. The interviewer seemed to be trying to extract information from the candidate, lacking patience and basic skills. Disappointing for the 20 mins

The interview process was fluent, transparent, and efficiently arranged. Interviewers were highly professional, conducting quick yet smooth sessions that deeply explored my CV and included many thoughtful and subjective questions.
