The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Best Buy (Cincinnati, OH) in Oct 2009
Interview
Starts off with a phone interview to check your communications skills and background. They will offer you an interview which is usually that week with a store manager. Much of the same questions but more questions on your experience followed by an interview with the store GM.
The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Best Buy (Boca Raton, FL) in Mar 2010
Interview
I applied on-line and took the mandatory personality test on a Sunday. By Tuesday I was called by an HR person who did a basic interview asking me about my interest in working for Best Buy, what hours I'd be available and what departments I'd be interested in, we then scheduled a 1:1 interview for that Friday.
I met with the Customer Relations Manager who was nice; he asked several questions pertaining to customer and interpersonal relationships, some of the questions required a bit of thought though. He then said he would call in a few days to schedule a third interview, which I'm currently waiting for.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Best Buy (McAllen, TX) in Mar 2010
Interview
I went to the stores website and search for any open job and applied for one in my area. When I started the application it asked me what I wanted to apply for so I went ahead and chose something else that I saw didn't have an opening just in case.
I was called about 2 weeks later and went to the store location. I was sent to the back area of the store where the restrooms are located in a small office. I was asked several question on certain scenarios with customers.
It's been about 3 weeks and I haven't received any call.
