Barclays Summer Technology Intern interview questions

It was the most horrible job application I have ever done. I completed their demanding coding challenge and their likewise personality assessment, and my application moved to a new phase: "Preliminary Conversations". I then got ghosted henceforth for almost 3 months. After a few days on my application, the role was closed and my application was still stuck. So I emailed the hiring manager for an overview of the job application timeline and was told to wait. I received a rejection later that day, implying that they had already selected the candidates for the job...I realized I had been wasting so much time with their process which is very lengthy and super hard. I feel like Barclays being a big bank, should be transparent during job search and communicate with candidates when certain decisions are made.
