Interview
Phone interview for around 40 minutes included going through my educational background and credentials, as well as my work throughout my Ph.D. I described what we do in our lab and described how my experience would fit the position and would help gain further insight into the pharmaceutical industry world. I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AstraZeneca in Mar 2014
Interview
Had two phone interviews. The first one was a HR round. Not many behavioral questions in this round. Just asked to briefly tell about myself and told me to expect a call from hiring manager shortly.
Second telephone interview was with my hiring manager. Tested basic knowledge in my area of expertise. Probed my awareness of the company and its products. Gave me a technical problem and asked to solve it while thinking out loud.
I was extended an offer after they contacted my references. I had no on-site interview.
